Camp by the Creek Information Summer 2016

Spend your summer with us! Our energetic and talented camp staff entertains the children with different programs, arts and crafts, games, field trips, and outdoor activities. Camp by the Creek continues to remain as one of our most popular programs. The Parks Recreation Department is proud to provide quality programming while continually promoting a positive environment. This summer we will be splitting our camp by age group: 6-8 years old and 9-12 years old. 

6-8 and 9-12 years old
Counselor-in Training: 13-15 years old
Camp Time: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm
Extended Care: 7:00am – 9:00am and 4:00pm – 6:00pm, $20 per child, per session
Place: Hometown Heroes Park (2105 Dickenson  Avenue
Registration (registration is limited):

League City Residents: April 20 (until slots are filled)
Non-residents; May 4 (until slots are filled)

Session 1: Under the Big Top (June 6-17th)

Lions, Tigers, and Bears! Oh My! Join us for a fun and wacky session as we take part in our own carnival. Campers will learn magic tricks, play carnival games and even have a chance to dunk their counselors in the dunk tank!

Session 2: Sports, Olympics, and Games (June 20th- July 1st)

It's our traditional sports camp with a twist! This summer is the 2016 Olympics, so we are going to try our hand at some Olympic Sports.

Session 3: Mix Match Days (July 5-15th)

Every few days we are going to change up the theme and try out something new- come see what these 2 weeks have in store!                                                                    

 Session 4: Drip, Drip, Splash (July 18-29th) 

It's all about water: swimming, games, and fishing! During these two weeks, we will turn our traditional camp games into water games. What better way to beat the heat then to play in the water! 

Session 5: Camp Reality (August 1st-12th)

We'll enjoy Minute to Win It games, campers dress up their counselor for America’s Next Top Model, and much more! These two weeks will be filled with fun challenges and games.

Session 6:  Amazing Race (August 15-19th)

The race is on to see who can finish our Amazing Race. Campers will take part in physical and mental challenges as they race around our park.   

Cost: $50 deposit secures a slot for your camper. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
