EDUCATION, FAMILY AND INTERESTS
Councilwoman Geri Bentley is a 13 year resident of League City and South Shore Harbour. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, but made Texas her home in the early 1980's, later moved to Santa Barbara, CA where she attended the University of California at Santa Barbara studying Environmental and Interior Design. She then moved then back to Texas.Bentley and her husband of 22 years are members of Sagemont Church. They have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In her spare time, Bentley loves to read, swim, travel, go RV’ing, and actively watch her great-grandchildren grown up.


EXPERIENCE
She is an owner of three local businesses. They are Executive Images Design where she is the owner and designer, Executive Images, Inc. (a design build business since 1989), and Pro-Public Adjusters, a public adjusting firm.As a small business owner Bentley wears many hats.
 
She has served as Vice President and Branch Manager in the title insurance business for 17 years.She served as Vice President at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust in the trust real estate department and a property manager for a California developer where she managed commercial, retail, hotel, and residential properties.


POLITICAL INVOLVEMENT
Bentley is active in League City and Galveston County communities and has served on the boards of directors of several homeowners associations, including South Shore Harbour Community Association where she served as treasurer.She has also been actively involved with several chambers of commerce, various builders associations, and is a member of both the Galveston Republican Women and the Clear Creek Republican Women.She is also a founding member and treasurer of the Clear Lake Tea Party and is active in local and state politics, making many trips to Austin to interact with our legislators, which inspired her to run for League City City Council.
