Waterline Upgrades & Replacement
Description
This project consists of the engineering, evaluation, and replacement of water distribution lines identified as a priority throughout the City.
 
FY2013:  Design of old town south area (south of FM518, east of RR tracks, west of FM270, and north of Hewitt St)
 
FY2014: Construction for the old town south designed in FY2013
               Design for the old town north area (north of FM518, east of SH3, west of FM270, and south of Clear Creek)
 
FY2015: Construction of the old town north design in FY2014
               Design of area based on volume of line failures, such as subdivisions listed below
 
FY2016-2018:  Subdivisions such as Newport, Glen Cove, Clear Creek Village, and Bayou Brea are candidates
 
Why It's Needed

Setting aside and annual amount for water line replacement and upgrade will allow on-going maintenance needs to be addressed and hopefully reduce line failures.
