  • Demolition is $10,000
  • 6 pumps is $2.4 million
  • Control building (climate is controlled) is $300,000
  • Process mechanical is $400 ,000
  • Electrical/controls is $800,000
  • Contingency is $600,000
  • Engineering is $825,000
  • Total Estimated Cost $8.025 million

Increased construction cost in FY2013 based on project scope as defined in the 2011 Water Master Plan.

Why It's Needed

These improvements and upgrades are necessary in order to bring the city's water production facilities into compliance with Homeland Security and TCEQ requirements and to build redundancy into the city's system.
