Facilities Modernization & Energy Efficiency
Description

FY2015 Projects for repairs, replacements and/or upgrades to city facilities:

ROOFS:

-  1535 Dickinson Ave (Public Works) Roof Replacement $45K

HVAC:

-  Fire Station 1 (601 2nd St) Replacement of existing equipment- $38K

-  Brittany Bay Water Tower (5321 ½ Candlewood) Replacement of existing equipment- $15K

-  Sportsplex (1251 LC Parkway) Replacement of equipment in (4) Concession Stands- $12K

-  EMS Station 1 (260 FM 270) Replacement of existing equipment- $30K

-  Fire Station 3 (3575 Deke Slayton Blvd) Replacement of existing equipment- $20K

-  Fire Station 4 (175 Bay Area Blvd) Replacement of existing equipment- $20K

FLOORING:

-  Fire Station 2 (2120 Hobbs Rd) Coating for bay floor- $14K


Why It's Needed

Projects for repairs, replacement, upgrades and/or energy efficiency.  Roofing replacements submitted are at or beyond life expectancy. HVAC unit replacements submitted are at or beyond life expectancy and require outdated/expensive R-22 refrigerant. Floor coating submitted is non-slip texturing for safety.
