Police Department CIP Projects

The Police program comprises of $25K in FY2015 for a feasibility study for a new animal adoption center.  This study will provide an evaluation of our animal services facility as we continue to grow.  It will include options for facility expansion and/or relocation to address identified needs and provide order of magnitude construction estimates for the studied options.  FY2017-2018 includes $460K for design and construction.

Projects In Progress At A Glance: (as of September 2016)

Animal Adoption Center / Shelter:  Scope expanded for needs assessment for an animal shelter adjacent to existing animal shelter. Council awarded funds for phase 1 of A/C renovation. Temporary building and storage building installed June 2016.  Council directed project to be included in CIP.  Interior renovations in progress.  Cat room 90% complete.  Dog kennel area #1 complete; Dog kennel area #2 complete - Trench grates, security fence and gate in progress.
