Article VI - Drought Contingency Plan
Editor's Note
An amendment to the Drought Contingency Plan passed during a council workshop on August 16, 2011. The amendment states that:
  • Special Provision(s): The city shall enact any and all requirements for water use restrictions as mandated by federal, or state authorities and / or inter-local water suppliers as directed.  Any such directives shall be implemented without necessarily implementing the various stages of the Drought Contingency Plan herein defined.  Any such mandated requirements issued can be attached to a stage herein defined that best satisfies the requirement of the mandated requirements.
Also amended were the watering day changes which are as follows:
  • Even numbered addresses can water on Monday and Thursday between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Odd numbered addresses can water on Tuesday and Friday between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Ord. No. 2002-26, § 2, adopted Apr 23, 2002, amended art. VI in its entirety, in effect repealing and reenacting said article to read as herein set out. The former art. VI, §§ 114-221—114-226, pertained to similar subject matter and derived from Code 1968, §§ 26-131—26-136, and Ord. No. 87-30, §§ 1—6, adopted June 11, 1987.
