Diamond of Excellence Award

The award was created to recognize employees providing outstanding customer service to the League City community, city staff or other stakeholders.  Individuals receiving this award exemplify the true meaning of customer service through innovation, creativity, commitment, dedication, inspiration, helpfulness, friendliness, and public service.


Diamond of Excellence Quarterly Award is presented to one employee each quarter.

The Kristi Wyatt Diamond of Excellence Award for Customer Service is presented in December during the Employee Holiday Luncheon to one employee. 


All full-time and part-time employees are eligible.  Employees nominated for these awards must be in good standing and a current employee at the time of selection. 

Nomination Process

Nominations are accepted at any time and will be considered for the respective award period the nomination was submitted.  When submitting a nomination, nominators are asked to provide specific reasoning why the employee (or team) should be considered for the award. 

Anyone, including League City residents, may nominate a city employee for the Diamond of Excellence AwardNomination forms for this award are available to the public at www.leaguecity.com

Employees (or teams) may be nominated by other City employees, residents or by a member of the City Council.  If a City employee is nominating another City employee, it is the nominator’s responsibility to notify his/her respective director.  Nomination forms for awards are available on the City’s intranet and should be submitted electronically to .


Quarterly award nomination deadlines are as follows:

Q1: Jan. 15

Q2:  April 15

Q3: July 15

Q4: Oct. 15

Annual:  Oct. 31
