Public Computers

Public computers are available to all patrons of Helen Hall Library.There are thirty-two PCs in the adult area, four in the teen area and seven in the children's area. In addition, there are four PCs reserved for searching the library catalog.

Public Computers automatically close down 15 minutes before the library closes. Any work not saved will be lost.

All PCs have the following software:

  • Windows XP Professional or Windows 7 Professional
  • Internet Explorer
  • Windows Media Player
  • Windows Live Messenger
  • Microsoft Office 2007 Professional (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
  • iTunes
  • Quick Time
  • Real Player SP
  • YahooMessenger

A library card is required to login to a computer. Visitors may request a guest pass for computer access at either the Adult Services Desk or the Youth Services Desk.

Users must agree to the library's acceptable use guidelines before using a computer.

Self-service printing from computers is available on either the first or second floor at $0.10 per page for black and white and $0.50 per page for color. Print jobs must be paid in cash or coin at the print release station before the pages are released for printing. There is a coin changer on the second floor. Neither credit nor debit cards are accepted.
