The Development Review Committee (DRC)

The Development Review Committee (DRC) is comprised of City staff from the Planning, Building, Fire Marshal’s Office, Water Production, Line Repair, Wastewater, and Engineering Departments. This committee is responsible for the review of zoning changes, special use permits, planned unit developments, plats, infrastructure plans, and site plans. It is charged with ensuring compliance with city codes. The DRC has final approval authority of all infrastructure plans and certain plats and site plans. For applications that require consideration by the City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Historic Commission, Parks Board and/or the Zoning Board of Adjustments, the DRC will assist you. (Applications for building construction, irrigation, sign, plumbing, mechanical, gas, electrical and pool permits are submitted directly to the Building Department.)

DRC meetings are held each Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. at City Hall located at 300 West Walker Street. A list of contacts of the DRC is also available here.
