Redesigned League City Website

welcome

The League City Communications Department has launched a new City website that is mobile friendly, easier to navigate, and is dedicated to providing relevant and timely information to the citizens of League City regarding services, resources, and events as well as available opportunities to engage and participate in the government process.

The site was designed to be user-friendly and to have a “modern” look and feel that includes more visual elements including photos, graphics, and the use of icons. Members of the Communications team worked with CivicPlus, a website design and hosting company, over the last several months to design the new website and migrate content over from the previous site. Several focus groups made up of League City residents also provided their input and feedback on the design, navigation features, and content.

“Now that the site is live, the real work begins,” said League City Communications Director Sarah Greer Osborne. “We will be collecting feedback and input from users and visitors to the site over the next several months, so we can make the homepage and other popular pages more user-centric and make updates and improvements to all the department pages as well.”

New features on the site include:

· Your City at Work videos that highlight the role of various League City departments.

· #LCLocal profiles of the residents and businesses that make up League City

· Heart of League City videos that highlight locally owned businesses

· I am League City profiles of City staff members
