Holidays in League City

It’s not too early to start planning for the holidays, and that includes League City’s annual Holiday in the Park Festival. The three-day, family-friendly tradition features shopping, food, entertainment, and several parades including the Children’s Parade, Pet Parade, and the Grand Night Parade.

The League City Proud Organization is now selling tickets for the Saturday, November 10, League City Holiday Ball, which benefits the Holiday in the Park festivities. The black-tie optional dinner at 7 p.m. at South Shore Harbour Resort features entertainment by the Mambo Kings. Tickets are $65.

League City Proud is also now also accepting applications for festival sponsorship, vendors, and entries into this year’s Grand Night Parade.

Miss Holiday in the Park 
and Holiday Market


Sunday, Nov. 4  |  9 a.m.
South Shore Harbour Resort

The 2018 Miss Holiday in the Park Pageant is open to girls under the age of 1 up to age 25. This year’s winner will reign at League City’s Holiday in the Park festivities and parade on December 1. Guests at the pageant can also start their holiday shopping early with vendors set up in the hotel lobby. New unwrapped toys will be collected at the event and donated to Toys for Tots.

Breakfast with the 
Sugar Plum Fairy


Saturday, Nov. 17  |  8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
South Shore Harbour Resort

Enjoy breakfast with characters from the Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre, shop the Nutcracker boutique, and take a photo with the Sugar Plum Fairy. Tickets are $60 per person. Call 281-334-1000 ext. 2022 for tickets/reservations.

Library Holiday Open House 
and Tree Lighting


Thursday, Nov. 29  |  5 to 6:30 p.m.
Helen Hall Library

Come join us for caroling, crafts, and a special visit from Santa at 5 p.m. The City’s tree lighting ceremony in front of the library will immediately follow. The event is free and open to the public.

Merry Market

Butler’s Courtyard 

Butler’s Courtyard presents the Merry Market sponsored by the Bay Area Mothers of Multiples Enjoy a glass of wine and have a girls’ night out while getting some of your holiday shopping done. Admission is free and open to the public.

Holiday in the Park (November 30-December 2)

Enjoy this three-day annual holiday tradition at League Park in downtown League City. Admission to all events is free.

Movie Night 

Friday, Nov. 30 

Kick off the holidays with live entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. followed by a holiday movie in the heart of the park.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Vendors opens their tents at 9 a.m. and the Children’s Parade begins at 10 a.m. Don’t miss a full day of shopping, food, and live entertainment until 6 p.m. when the parade begins along Main Street.

Family Day and 
Pet Parade 

Sunday, Dec. 2

Enjoy vendor tents and food trucks from noon to 5 p.m. Be sure to bring along Fido for the doggy costume contest and pet parade beginning at 1 p.m.

Hometown Heroes Park

Polar Bear Plunge

Bay Area Christmas Boat Lane Parade 


Saturday, Dec. 8  |  6 p.m.
South Shore Harbour Marina

Bright lights and boats of all sizes will gather to ring in the holidays at the 57th annual Bay Area Christmas Boat Lane Parade. The parade gets underway in the Nassau Bay Lagoon and League City’s South Shore Harbour Marina before traveling through the channel past Seabrook and the Kemah Boardwalk and out into the Bay. Don’t miss the sail and power boats decorated with brightly colored lights and music. This event is free and open to the public.
